About the Bronx Climate Tech Fellowship
The Bronx Climate Tech Fellowship is your gateway to a future in climate tech and clean energy. This program, brought to you by the Bronx Economic Development Corporation in partnership with the Bronx Tech Hub and the New York Power Authority, is designed to equip Bronx-based college students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to thrive in the green economy.

By creating career pathways into the climate tech and clean energy sector, we aim to empower the next generation of leaders who will drive innovation and sustainability.
Program Highlights:

Application Timeline:
Application Period
The application period begins on May 25 and will remain open until July 15. Be sure to submit all required materials before the deadline to be considered.Selection & Interviews
After careful review, select applicants will be invited to participate in interviews in late July. This stage offers an opportunity to further showcase your qualifications and enthusiasm for the program.Fellowship Announcement
Final decisions will be made following the interview process, and fellows will be officially announced in August.

Here’s what you can expect:
2025-26 Academic Year:
Industry Workshops: Throughout the academic year, fellows will participate in a series of workshops and site visits focused on key areas of the clean energy sector, including renewable energy production, transportation and infrastructure, and sustainable building practices. These workshops will feature expert guest speakers, interactive sessions, and site visits to relevant clean energy organizations.
Professional Development Workshops: In addition to industry-specific training, fellows will engage in professional development workshops designed to enhance their career readiness. Topics will include resume building, interview skills, LinkedIn optimization, and networking strategies.
Summer 2026:
8-Week Internship Positions: Following the academic year, fellows will be placed in 8-week internship positions with leading organizations in the clean energy industry. These internships will provide hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and gain valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of the clean energy sector.

Eligibility Criteria
The Bronx Climate Tech Fellowship is committed to fostering local talent and providing opportunities for students to excel in the clean energy industry. To ensure that we reach the most dedicated and promising individuals, we have established the following eligibility criteria:
Current Students: Students who have completed at least one year of study or equivalent credits at a Bronx-based City University of New York (CUNY) school.
Enrollment Requirement: Applicants must be enrolled at a Bronx CUNY school for the fall semester of 2025.

Fellowship Stipend Arrangement
We understand the importance of financial support while you focus on your training and development. As a participant in the Bronx Climate Tech Fellowship, you will receive a stipend to help cover your expenses during the program.
Hourly Rate: Fellows will be paid $20 per hour for their participation in workshops, site visits, and other program activities throughout the academic year.
8-Week Internship: During the summer of 2026, fellows will continue to receive $20 per hour for their 8-week internship positions, ensuring that you are compensated for your valuable contributions and learning experiences.
