The Bronx Week Small Business Showcase
Apply today for a chance to secure $15,000 in funding and visibility for your business
The BX‑Factor Small Business Challenge, hosted by the Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC), is the signature small business showcase of Bronx Week. This competition serves as a platform for Bronx-based entrepreneurs to step forward, share their vision, pitch their ideas, and accelerate the growth of their businesses.
Each year, BX‑Factor highlights the tradition of innovation and creativity in the Bronx small business ecosystem with a small-business pitch competition. Selected finalists will present their pitch to a panel of judges, where the winner will take home a cash prize of $15,000.
This year, through a partnership with Business Tech Incubator at CUNY on the Concourse, we are proud to offer a series of workshops leading up to the pitch competition to support businesses with developing and refining their pitch for the day of the competition. Learn More

Pitch Prep Workshop Series
Our two‑part workshop series prepares entrepreneurs to deliver a powerful three‑minute pitch and confidently handle judge Q&A on competition day.
In Workshop 1, participants learn how to structure an effective pitch, tailor their message to what judges value, build a compelling core story, and refine their draft through guided practice and feedback.
In Workshop 2, businesses polish their presentation, strengthen their delivery skills, and develop strategies for answering tough questions. Through pitch critiques, role‑play Q&A sessions, and a final rehearsal, founders build confidence and readiness.
Together, these sessions ensure every participant is equipped with a polished pitch, a clear narrative, and the poise needed to perform successfully during the competition.
Following the two workshop sessions finalists will have the opportunity to practice their pitches with volunteers from Santander Bank.
