In response to the devastating 5-alarm fire that struck Burnside Avenue on March 13, 2025, the Bronx community is coming together to support the small business owners and employees who lost everything.

With the leadership and support of Assembly Member Yudelka Tapia, Senator Gustavo Rivera, Council Member Pierina Sanchez, and Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, a Commercial Recovery Fund has been established to provide direct financial assistance to those affected.

The Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC) is administering the fund, ensuring donations are securely managed and distributed directly to impacted business owners to help them recover and rebuild. This is a community-driven effort, and every contribution makes a difference.
